Growth 4 Health: an inspiring series of 5 keynotes

In our ongoing quest for innovation and well-being within companies, a new concept emerges: Growth 4 Health. This initiative, organized by Health House and supported by the province of Flemish Brabant, promises to offer a fresh perspective on healthcare. With a series of five presentations planned throughout 2024, the adventure begins with a keynote on prevention.

Keynote April 25th: Prevention as a new business model for your enterprise

The idea is simple yet powerful: by investing in the health and well-being of employees, companies can not only strengthen their human capital but also enhance their long-term competitiveness. It’s not just about reducing absenteeism; it’s also about creating a work environment where people thrive and flourish.

In the first keynote of the programm, Prof. dr. Koen Kas, the renowned keynote speaker in the field of health and future technologies, and Mieke Donders, a hands-on health advocate with experience in healthcare and local government, will take us on a journey through the world of preventive healthcare as a strategy for business growth.

“Attracting, empowering, and retaining employees while they become the driving force in your enterprise!”

This is the central theme of the keynote. It’s about transforming employees into ambassadors of your company through a well-being-focused approach. Kas and Donders promise to share practical strategies and hands-on tools that companies can use to protect both the physical and mental health of their employees.

2. Keynote May 23rd: AI in healthcare

In the second keynote of the Growth 4 Health program, Tom Braekeleirs, a pioneer in the field of digital health, will take us on an in-depth exploration of AI in healthcare. As AI increasingly becomes a crucial building block for the future of healthcare, it’s essential to understand not only its possibilities but also its limitations. Braekeleirs will guide us beyond the hype, towards a better understanding of the ‘Why, Wow, and Well’ of AI in healthcare.

With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and an impressive track record at leading companies, Braekeleirs has a wealth of knowledge and insights to offer. His expertise spans from digital technology to entrepreneurship, and his passion for changing the world through innovation is evident in all his work. As the founder of Nexxtt.Health and a professor in Digital Medical Technology at UGent, he is a visionary who pushes the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare.

Braekeleirs’ keynote will not only provide a thorough analysis of the role of AI in healthcare but also practical insights and strategies to ensure that AI genuinely benefits both patients and healthcare providers. With his personal motto “Change the world or go home!”, Braekeleirs sets the tone for an engaging and inspiring discussion about the future of health and technology.
